Beginning of March!!
So many new and exciting things have finally come together for this small little endeavour I call "Squire's Photography". We have a kick ass website, a logo that captures the brand perfectly, new and improved business cards, new camera gear ordered and on its way, a wild can do attitude, and a man who loves to talk about himself in the third person... Squire's Photography started out many years ago as a name for my Instagram page, something I didn't put much thought into at the time but worked as a place for me to post my photos, without clogging up my personal page with amateur photos of my cat sleeping... BUT! It slowly and surely turned into something great, something much more than I could ever dream of. The year 2015 was the start of it all. Armed with my Canon T3, I left on a jet plane for a wild adventure in Europe, starting in Italy and traveling by train up to Austria, Germany and finally France. I had no idea that this would be the start to a new adventure and passion. I was actually in Europe pursuing one of my other passions, Martial Arts (I was representing Canada at a tournament…I am literally a photography ninja) After the tournament, I found myself on an amazing adventure as I hopped on and off trains all over Europe with my friends and taking photos of people holding up the leaning tower of Pisa. We were young and full of energy back then, now we all require a nap after simply booking a plane ticket. The Canon T3 came into my possession right before we left for Europe. I bought it specifically for traveling, and boy, am I glad I did! Falling in love with that camera was never part of the plan, but I did - so much so that I named it after my favourite actress: Angelina Jolie. It wasn't until we stopped in Austria that the idea of being a photographer crossed my mind, I still remember the exact moment actually, simply because that passion for photography started by capturing one of my all time favorite pictures. As my friend, Jen, stood in front of a water fountain taking a selfie, I looked over and for some reason had the notion to capture that moment in time, luckily for me she was a bit of a narcissist (love ya, Jen…) back then so I had ample time to take the photo. Some were between her 25-115th selfie, I got my picture, and to this day it is still my all time favourite image. Not because it in an award winning picture with incredible image quality and stunning beauty..... because only one of those things are true... but because for me that is the moment my love started. That photo started something that even years later I am passionate about, so much so that this blog was created on this website while sitting at a desk I purchased solely for editing photos while wearing a hoody that has my logo embroidered on it, and a wallet full of business cards I use to promote my company. It is truly amazing what one simple moment in time, one image captured in the spur of the moment can lead to, what it can create, the passion, the love, the adventure, the drive. Now I'm not saying that if I didn't take that specific image, I would have never gotten into photography.... but I do find some beauty in the notion that I can look back onto that photo and be 1000% confident..... that's where it started, that's the moment when I knew this is something I would be doing for the rest of my life... Was there a moment in your life that you know changed your direction? I would love to hear about … comment below!

Hi. Nice site, but understated. Before I read any bio stuff, the first thing I said to myself was great camera. Then, the closer I looked, the more I see you have that ability to catch a moment. (everything after that is photoshop, IMHO).
